  • Lee at Auscan Plumbing is a professional; licensed for plumbing AND gas. 1. Lee relocated a basement rough-in shower and toilet in our new home in 2008. After Jack-hammering the concrete, the drain plumbing was re-arranged and new concrete poured. Installation of the two-piece shower stall was properly sealed, shower stall perfectly aligned with the new drain, and zip-lock bags of wet concrete placed underneath for floor support. After I had the sub-floor installed, Lee's crew returned to install the toilet and custom vessel sink and vanity - a perfect installation, even providing a rough-in to accommodate a 'mud-sink' on the other side of the wall. Very pleased with the final workmanship all around. 2. Lee's crew installed 2 replacement toilets and 3 vanity sinks in the upstairs bathrooms. On an Easter Sunday morning, a water supply fitting with a factory defect leaked water into the vanity and onto the floor in the en-suite. Lee himself arrived shortly to replace the fitting. I could have simply turned off the water supply until a regular work-day, but Lee availed himself to attend immediately. Extraordinary service. 3. Lee installed and connected a new combination gas/electric range in the kitchen. One visit, and no leaking gas odor as was the case following a gas-fitter's similar installation in another province. 4. The 7-year old kitchen sink was slow to drain and gurgled. I tried a chemical drain cleaner, but that did not work. And, a 'drain-snake' was too large to fit past the sink's drain fitting. Lee arrived a day or two earlier than scheduled! The P-trap was inaccessible being in a finished basement. Lee cut out a piece of drain pipe from under the sink to install a High Quality 'air-behind-water' valve and also an under-sink access for cleaning. The drain pipe had been coated with a thick lanoline-type chemical residue probably used in dish washing detergent for hand-washing (not used for dishwashers). Like a clogged artery, this had restricted the water drainage and even accumulated in the P-trap below. Lee used his 'drain-snake' many times to loosen the restricting accumulation and followed with many (6 or more?) flushings by filling the sink with water and using a plunger to ensure the P-trap was cleared. > There have not been any issues regarding his work, since. Lee is very knowledgeable, conscientious, and very thorough. Lee, a family man, can be trusted and relied upon to perform top quality and timely service, using high quality and modern materials and parts, and is proud of his work and his reputation. I thank him for all that he has done and will be calling him again to attend to my plumbing and gas needs. I can confidently recommend his services to everyone... COMMERCIAL and RESIDENTIAL.

  • We have a rental property that required a new hot water tank. Auscan came to the rescue w/ timely advice and recommendations on using a smaller, more efficient tank, as we really didn't need the larger size for the number of tenants occupying the space. Not only was the tank cheaper as a result, but our heating costs per month will be reduced by not having to heat a larger tank! Their assistance was prompt and appreciated. At the same time we were dealing w/ the water tank, we had issues w/ our dishwasher at our address. They offered a number of options to alleviate the problem. I highly recommend calling Auscan for all your plumbing needs!

  • This is the second review I've given in regards Auscan Plumbing and Gas Ltd. in the last three years I have had the need to use their services four times . The most current was today for my 89 year old step father who had an issue with his gas furnace and was without heat. I called Lee yesterday and he did the service call today at Noon, he fixed the problem in one trip and even cleaned the operational parts of the furnace then went in every room to ensure that the system was fully functioning correctly before he left. He then called me to advise what had been done. I use Lee and his company because he is reliable, knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced plus in my experience he has always gone that little bit above and beyond for me. I suspect he does the same for ALL his customers. I highly recommend Lee and his company Auscan Plumbing and Gas Ltd.
